The Beginning.
I grew up in a small town in Illinois where the boys
outnumbered the girls by 35 to 1. Good
luck getting a date if you’re president of the chess club.
With no real girls to lust after, my dream
girls where all movie stars. I based
Jessica Rabbit on several of the cinematic sex symbols of my youth. Red heads Esther Williams, Susan Hayward, and
Rita Hayworth. And the fabulous cartoon
red head Red Hot Riding Hood created by legendary animator Tex Avery.
Red Hot first appeared in 1943 in an MGM
cartoon titled, what else but, Red Hot Riding Hood.
You can see why a love-starved country boy fell
for Red Hot hard.
Check out her
eternally horny pursuer, The Wolf, ogling Red Hot from his table. Resemble any similarly named writer you know? I’ll talk more about Wolfs later as The
Jessica Rabbit Chronicles continue.
