This is pretty Dopey!

Good morning, Toontown campers.  The time has finally come for us to bid adieu.  Today I announce the last of our grand prize winners in the big, big Roger Rabbit Toontown Collectibles Extravaganza.

Before I do that, I want to thank all of the nearly 1,000 Roger Rabbit fans who submitted entries to my contest.  You’re a very creative bunch.  Your entries as they came in had me laughing every day for weeks.  I had so much fun with this contest that I might make it an annual affair.

Let’s get to the goodies..

The winner of the second grand prize is Jeff Delgado.  Jeff says that if Roger and Jessica went to a costume party they would go as Dopey and Snow White.  Jeff even sent me a picture (snapped on his new iPhone no doubt) of what they would like.

Good going, Jeff.  For that Dopey answer you win a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a limited edition printed copy of my new book Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, and an extremely rare zillion simoleon note all autographed by me.

That’s it for now, Toontownians.  Stay Tooned over the next few weeks as I post photos of the winners with their booty.

Roger, The Invisible Rabbit

Here we go, gang.  The day you’ve been waiting for.  When I announce the first of our two big grand prize winners.

Let’s have the drum roll please.

And the winner is: Jordan Schwartz.  Here’s Jordan’s extremely creative and right-on-target answer.

If Roger and Jessica went to a costume party, I imagine Roger would go as Harvey the Invisible Rabbit from the Mary Chase play/movie of the same name. He'd simply paint himself in Acme's Disappearing/Reappearing Ink to make himself invisible for the party.  That way he can reappear when the shindig is over.

As for Jessica, well Jessica hates costume parties.  Let’s get serious here.  She is, after all, Jessica Rabbit.  Other women dress up as her.  She doesn’t have to pretend she’s somebody else to stand out in a crowd.  So she tells Roger she's going as the Invisible Woman.  Instead, she skips the party altogether and goes out dining, dancing, and whatevering with Clark Gable.  Roger never notices his wife’s not at the party.

Good going, Jordan.  For that wack-a-doodle answer you win a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a limited edition printed copy of my new book Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, and an extremely rare zillion simoleon note all autographed by me.

Shmoo You Too!

We’re getting close, Roger Rabbit fans.  Tomorrow I announce the first of the two winners in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.  In the meantime, here’s an Honorable Honorable Mention.  This one was submitted by the creative and talented Adam Antium Nunez.  If you’ll remember, he WON the first giveaway.  I stated that fans could submit as many entries as they wanted.  This was Adam's second entry.  It’s a hum dinger.  Had Adam not won before, he would have won again with this original, inspired, and imaginative scenario.  Plus Adam gets extra points for incorporating yours truly into his scenario.

Good going, Adam.  No award for this, but only because you already got one.  You do get two thumbs up from me, two ears up from the Rabbit, and from Jessica…. Well let’s just say that she likes it too.

The question was, if Roger and Jessica went to a costume party, what costumes would they wear.

Adam’s answer:

Roger would dress up as The Shmoo, and Jessica would dress up as the lovely Daisy May.

No Toon party is complete without having Gary K. Wolf around! He dresses up as Li'l Abner and spends the evening in a heavy sweat as Jessica shamelessly flirts with his alter ego.

Roger spends most of the evening Shmoo-ing it up to a delighted audience, but almost loses his cool when he sees Jessica and Gary together. Determined to show her two can play at that game, Roger downs some spiked punch and looks around the room, finding Brunhilde from What's Opera, Doc? Not recognizing a subtly costumed Bugs Bunny, Roger starts showering him with compliments while downing even more punch. Bugs plays along, naturally.

Roger and Jessica lose sight of each other as the night goes on. Once Jessica's shameless flirting has caused Gary's costume to melt into a rubbery puddle on the floor, she gives him a sweet kiss on the forehead and goes searching for Roger, who is now on the dance floor dancing the "Two Bunny Tango" with a very amused Bugs. Gary, on the other hand, is leaning against the wall with a look of relief upon his face now that he has poured his drink and ice down his shirt.

Daffy, dressed as Elmer Fudd, is fuming at Bugs being in the spotlight yet again. He bounds to the dance floor, bumping Roger the Shmoo out of the way and into Jessica's waiting arms. He joins Bugs in the Tango, determined to upstage him so everyone will recognize him for the comic genius he is.

The dance ends abruptly when Bugs dips Daffy, places a rose in his beak, and spins him so fast that Daffy is drilled into the floor. Once the drilling sound stops, there is a moment of silence, followed by a mighty KABOOM, and the clatter of a duck beak falling to the floor. A withered featherless arm reaches up from the hole, grabs the beak, taps off the ash, and retreats to the hole. Moments later, a bald Daffy slinks away, humiliated again.

Roger glances over and looks at Daffy through punch drunk eyes and says, "Look, Jessica! A plucked duck!" before promptly passing out.

Waddya think, Roger fans?  Ain’t that a gasser?

Come back tomorrow for the first of our two big winners.

Until then, stay tooned.

Say The Secret Word And Win One Zillion Simoleons!

The excitement’s building, Roger Rabbit fans.  We’re getting close to the end of the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.  This is the last Honorable Mention Winner.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  Brad Ulanoski knocked it out of the park with his suggestion that Jessica would go blonde and would come as sultry screen siren Veronica Lake.  Roger would swipe Baby Herman’s cigar and deck himself out as Groucho Marx. Brad even sent along some fantastic artwork to show how they’d look in their costumes.

Good going, Brad.  You said the secret word.  For that you win an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Come by tomorrow when we’ll have a special Giveaway treat.

Until then, stay Tooned.

Roger and Jessica Pay Tribute To Robin and Bob

Here’s the next Honorable Mention winner in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Extravaganza Giveaway.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  Austin Walker nearly brought me to tears by commemorating two of my dear friends, both sadly now passed on.  Austin says Roger would pay tribute to his dear friend Genie from Disney's Aladdin and honor Robin Williams by dressing as Robin’s iconic first role, Mork from Ork with Jessica donning a stunning Orkan Mindy space suit.  Genie would return the kindness and go as Roger's best bud, Eddie to honor the memory of Bob Hoskins

Nice job, Austin Walker.  For your thoughtful and very appropriate sentimental homage, you win an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Come by tomorrow for more.  We’re getting close to the two big winners, and you won’t want to miss them.  They’re both zingers.

Blub, blub, blub. Roger's going down for the third time.

Ahoy, maties.  Here’s today’s honorable mention winner in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway Extravaganza.  Another example of the far out thinking that separates Toontownians from the normal world.

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.

Kelly Hammond thinks Roger could go as a sunken ship survivor. Jessica would be his life preserver!

Right on, Kelly.  Jessica’s certainly got the equipment to support her bunny boy.

For that bizarrely interesting costuming idea, Kelly wins an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Toon in tomorrow for another winner.

This Winner's A Bit Kinky!

Here’s today’s honorable mention winner in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway Extravaganza.  And this one’s a pipperoo!

The task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.

Andrew Hagan’s answer:  Roger as Henry Miller and Jessica as Anaïs Nin.  Or better yet, vice versa!

For that kinky bit of costuming, Andrew wins himself an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Good going, Andrew.  I don’t know what books you’re reading, but they’re clearly not mine!!!

More Roger Rabbit Costume Winners!

Here are the next two winners in the Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway.  Remember, the task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  Two people came up with the same incredible answer.  So I’m giving them both honorable mentions.

The two winners are Christopher Fording and Jean-Pierre Vidrine.  Good going, guys.  You’ll both be getting an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

The winning costumes: Roger and Jessica would go as Popeye and Olive Oyl.  Roger loves being a Toon and enjoys paying homage to those Toons that came before him. Jessica may not be into it as much as Roger, but she'd go along with it to make him happy. Baby Herman comes with them dressed as Sweet Pea.

Congratulations, guys!  Don’t spend all  your simoleons in one place.

Toon in tomorrow for more winners!

What a Great Costume Idea This One Is!!!!

Here’s the next winner in The Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway Extravaganza.

Remember, the task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  I told you all to think like Toontownians, waaaay outside the box.  Here’s a winner who did.

His name is Nate Singleton For his extremely creative entry, he’ll be getting an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

Nate’s answer: They would go as a classic Las Vegas neon sign. "The Ink And Paint Club Hotel & Casino"!!! Jessica would be positively glowing.  Roger would be all bent around and twisty and would be flashing on and off like a short-circuited looney.

Good going, Nate!  That’s the kind of twisted logic that makes Toontown great!

Wore Winners In The Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway

Here they are, fans.  The next round of winners in The Great Roger Rabbit Collectibles Giveaway Extravaganza.

Remember, the task was to tell me what costumes Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party.  As you might imagine, with almost 1,000 entries, a lot of fans suggested the same costumes.  That was the case here.  These three all gave me the same answer.  Their answer was so dead on, that I’m awarding all three of them honorable mentions.  They’ll each receive an extremely rare zillion simoleon note autographed by me.

The three winners are William J. Hansard, Bill Cotter, and the talented (and spot-on Jessica Rabbit look-alike) Layla Faith Cisco who even sent me artwork.

Their answer, Roger and Jessica would go to a costume party as Tex Avery’s Wolfie and Red Hot Riding.

Nice going, you three.  Your zillion simoleon notes will be on their way soon.

Toon in tomorrow for more winning costumes.

Roger the Rabbit vs. Fritz the Cat

If Roger the Rabbit had been drawn by R.Crumb, the guy who drew Fritz the Cat.

First of all, the movie would have been called Who Bonked Roger Rabbit.

And Jessica would have been really bad, not just drawn that way.

The First Winning Entry!

This is what won Adam Nunez First Prize in my big Roger Rabbit rare collectibles giveaway extravaganza.  The question was, if Roger and Jessica Rabbit went to a costume party, what costumes would they wear.

Here is Adam's answer.

Roger has had a wonderful career in films, and a fulfilling life with his wonderful wife, Jessica. Being a natural born star, Roger didn't get some of the same opportunities others did. While some rabbits waited on tables or told jokes at an open mic, Roger was being discovered by some of the biggest names in toons. His rise to superstardom was meteoric!

Always aiming to please, Roger thought long and hard about what he and Jessica might transform into for a costume party. Popping his rejected ideas as though they were balloons at the end of a party, Roger stumbled on to something that sent him reeling, and also gave him a great idea. He figured out a way he could do something he had always wanted to do.

It was his top hat from the film Bohemian Rabbitsy, in which he played the rich uncle who lost all of his money betting on turtle races only to find out his nephew had made a fortune breeding racing turtles.

Roger imagined what he could do at a party with a nice top hat. Jessica saw what he was thinking and declared it brilliant!

The night of the party, Jessica entered alone, dressed as a stunning magician. Casually milling about, she placed the top hat on a nearby table along with a sign that said, "Just say the magic words".

As folks wandered by, the occasional curious soul would come up with whatever they could muster. Most folks went with the usual "Hocus Pocus" or "Abracadabra". Roger never missed a chance to magically emerge from the top hat, land with his usual flair upon the nearby table. With a tip of his cane, he thrust the hat into the air just right, so it landed perfectly atop his head as he shouted, "TAAA-DAAAAAA!" Once the laughter died down, Roger went back into hiding, barely able to contain his excitement. Ready for anything, he listened closely as Jerry Mouse hopped onto the table and tapped the rhythm Roger loved so well. "Tap - tap - ta - tap - tap". After a short beat, a skinny white arm shot into the air holding a rotating barber pole as a voice inside the hat sang, "Twooooo biiiiits!" before sliding back into the hat with a mighty WHOOSH and THUNK.

Rebel Wolf walked by whistling his tune and said, "Man alive. It shore must be tough gettin' a haircut 'round heah," before continuing on his way.

As the party continued, Roger left his hiding place and donned his magician's assistant outfit so he could accompany Jessica for the rest of the night.

Sensing an opportunity, Wile E Coyote took Roger's old spot, placing a small plate of bird seed on the table in his usual fashion. As Foghorn Leghorn decided to try a sample, Wile E's furry paws grabbed him around the neck. Unfazed, Foghorn dismissed the seed and declared, "I say, boy, if you're tryin' to catch yourself a bird, you're doin' it all wrong. All wrong, I say."

Wile E's eyes grew as big as saucers as he exited the hat and realized the size of his catch. Licking his lips, he released Foghorn so he could don his napkin and grab his knife and fork.

Foghorn, having dodged this sort of thing for years, casually grabbed a nearby serving tray. Wile E rang like a bell the second his fork hit the tray, encouraging him to call it a night. Foghorn grabbed the hat and flicked it to Roger, saying, "Here y'are, son. We don't want no more trouble with this now, do we? Wait. Gimme that hat." Foghorn took it back, slamming the top of it with his hand several times to ensure it was empty. 3 minutes, 6 watches, 17 dalmations, a faucet, and 2 confused cats later, he was satisfied and handed it back to Roger.

"What a great night, Jessica!" Roger exclaimed.

"It was, my dear," Jessica cooed. "Now for one more trick."

"Oh boy! I love tricks!"

With a tap of her wand on the table, Jessica gave Roger the most luscious nasal clearing kiss she could. Ears clanging, eyes bulging, and bow tie spinning, Roger held on with his lips as his body spun and contorted uncontrollably. Just before passing out, Roger sighed, "Jessica, you ARE magic..."

And The First Winner Was.....Adam Nunez!

Here's the first winner of my big, big, big Roger Rabbit collectibles extravaganza giveaway contest.  Adam Nunez, posing with his priceless collection of winnings, a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a limited edition printed copy of my new book Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, and an extremely rare zillion simoleon note all autographed by me.

To refresh your memories, I asked fans to tell me what Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party. The answers I got were incredible.  Very creative stuff.  The awards committee had a tough time picking a winner.

Adam’s answer was so wackadoodle, so funny, so bizarre, so quirky that I suspect Adam might be a Toon himself.

If you didn’t win this time, there’s still plenty of contest left.  I’ll give away a second set of prizes, the DVD, the book, and the note, on August 30.  Same rules.  What would Roger and Jessica wear to a costume party.

If you already entered, your entry is still in play.  Enter again if you want to.  There’s no limit.  I’ll happily read ‘em all.

Send your entries to rogerrabbit@garywolf.com.

The Expendables.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

This barely T-shirted young lady was distributing promo temporary tattoos for The Expendables movie.  Did I take one?  Of course I did.  I mean get real.  What man wouldn't let this woman slap a tat on his body.

That tat had real-life staying power.  I couldn't get it off even after I got tired of looking at it and wanted it off.  I've still got bits and pieces of it hanging clinging to my arm.

One reason why I never got a real one.

I'm just a small town country boy at heart.

Truth be told, I grew up shooting rabbits, not writing about them. I like the way I'm doing it now, with a typewriter instead of a shotgun, a whole lot better. Way less messy, and a lot more fun.

And the first winner is........

Hey, how you doing all you Roger Rabbit fans out there.

This is Gary K. Wolf, the Creator of Roger Rabbit coming to you live from Toontown Central.  I’m here to announce the first winner in my big, spectacular Roger Rabbit giveaway extravaganza contest.

To refresh your memories, I asked fans to tell me what Roger and Jessica would wear to a costume party. The answers I got were incredible.  Very creative stuff.  The awards committee had a tough time picking a winner.

And that winner is…. Roger Rabbit fan Adam Nunez.  Adam’s answer was so wackadoodle, so funny, so bizarre that I suspect Adam might be a Toon himself.

Adam didn’t just give me costume ideas, he wrote me a little story to go along with them.  Here’s what Adam wrote.

OMG!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Linguistic fun with the periodic chart.

What more can I say besides OMG!!!

Where's Roger?

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A swell Tee picturing a steam punk Jessica Rabbit.

But wait.  There's more!

Just like Disney puts hidden Mickeys in odd places around the theme parks and in movies, so, too, has a Roger been cleverly hidden in this design.  See if you can find him.

Hint.  He's a handy rabbit to have around!

Patty cake, patty cake.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A shirt from Toontown's infamous Patty Cake Lounge where Jessica Rabbit was caught playing patty cake with, well, just about everybody who came in the door.

Oh, that Jess.  She does like to have her patty  cake and eat it, too!

There's Nothing Wrong With A Little Rock and Roll.

Wolfman's T-Shirt of the Day.

The ever personable and always brightly smiling  Erica Bornstein wearing a Tee imprinted with what could be my lifetime motto.

Erica's one of my favorite yoga instructors.  She makes me bend, she makes me laugh.

Come To My Window

The incredible Melissa Etheridge in a private concert at The Foundation Room at The House of Blues. This was like hearing her sing in my own living room. Maybe better since here the booze was free!

AND she's a big Roger Rabbit fan, too!  Gotta love this woman.

Sheep Shades

Gary K. Wolf, Celebrity Pitchman.  I'm now endorsing Sheep Shades, a hot new line of sunglasses.

Perfect for the young, urban, Brooklynite hipster.  As you can see, they do considerably hipsterize my look. And the rabbit's, too.

Check them out here.  http://www.sheepshades.com/

Red Letter Days

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

This is Willy Jay McKenna, drummer for Red Letter Days, the hottest new indie band this side of the Mississippi. He's also a huge Roger Rabbit fan.

I heard the band play last night.  They're sensational.  Go to their website, and give them a listen.  Your ears will thank you.  http://www.redletterdaysband.com/#!home/mainPage

Play Ball!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The Official Toontown Terrors Baseball Jersey.

Roger Rabbit plays second base.  I mean literally.  He IS second base. Baby Herman is shortstop, naturally.  Benny the Cab brings in the relief pitchers from the bull pen.  Which, need I say, is populated by real bulls.  Toons rarely play nine innings.  They're laughing so hard after five that the umpires call the game.

That's sports in Toontown!

Aloha From Toontown

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A custom made Toontown aloha shirt created for me out of a child's bed sheet by Roger Rabbit collector extraordinaire George Bigley.

Only two of these exist.  I have one, Roger Rabbit has the other.  Roger's had to be specially tailored to accommodate his fluffy tail.  Good thing George didn't make one for Jessica! He would have had to sacrifice two or three more bed sheets!

Wolf Bears Rabbit

Wolfman's Jacket of the Day.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Crew Jacket.

This is the winter weight Who Framed Roger Rabbit crew jacket. I wore this during the filming at Elstree Studios in England.

It has the original logo with a pair of handcuffs dangling off the underscore. The handcuffs were removed from the logo before the movie came out. I suspect Disney/Spielberg did not want to give the impression this was some kind of kinky bondage movie. Instead of the non-kinky story of the love affair between a rabbit and a woman.

They embroidered my name on the front which gave rise to on-going crew joke "Wolf Bears Rabbit."

Surf's Up!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A very clever aloha shirt featuring Jessica, fetchingly attired in a grass skirt and a pair of coconuts, with her long board.

Welcome To The Dork Side

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

From my recent visit to The Museum of Science.

This Tee just tickles the bejeezus out of me.  I suspect because I came over to the dork side a long, long time ago.  And I do so love pi.

The Original Kinky Logo.

Wolfman's Jacket of the Day.

This is the summer weight Who Framed Roger Rabbit crew jacket.

A real, live red-headed Jessica!

Wolfman's Tee and Me.

This is me wearing yesterday's Jessica Rabbit Tee. Standing beside me is my gorgeous red-headed yoga instructor Jess Ray. I repeat.  I'm standing next to a honest to goodness red-headed Jessica!

How many authors can say they know a real-life incarnation of their best-looking and sexiest character?

Color Jess red.  Color me lucky!

Gary K. Wolf's Roger Rabbit Giveaway Extravaganza!

Win extremely rare autographed Roger Rabbit goodies!  I'm giving away a Blu-ray DVD of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a printed copy of my new novel Who Wacked Roger Rabbit?  And an honest to goodness zillion simoleon note.  You can live like royalty in Toontown with a zillion simoleons.  Watch the video, and find out how to win.

A Dame To Frame For.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Great Tee design from Punksthetic Art.

This is a Jessica Rabbit variation of Eva Green's poster for the new Sin City movie.

You won't be seeing the Sin City poster in your local cineplex though. The movie rating board disapproved the poster “for nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.” In other words, too much boob.

No problem in Toontown. As Jessica would say, "You can't have too much boob!"

As I would say, you'd be a boob not to own and wear a swell Tee like this one.

Here's where to go to buy one for yourself. http://www.neatoshop.com/product/A-Dame-to-Frame-For

A major Comic Con 2014 Announcement

Here's a video I just recorded for San Diego Comic Con 2014 announcing my newest animation project. A TV series featuring a hardboiled Toon Wolf detective.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F9v1lPWeZo&feature=youtu.be

All similarities to him and me are purely intentional. Take a look!

A Celebrity sighting!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Well-known and well-respected writer/producer Erik von Wodtke wearing the Jessica Salute Tee at San Diego Comic Con 2014.

This Tee always raises my flagpole.

The New Illinois.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Yesterday I posted a picture of my Chief Illiniwek Tee.  The Chief has been retired.  This is what an Illinois Tee looks like today.

I liked it way better before.

Thursday, July 24, 2014

Farewell to the Chief!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The last Tee made using Chief Illiniwek, the symbol of the University of Illinois from 1926 until he was retired in 2007.

The Chief wore authentic Sioux regalia and did a tribal dance at the halftimes of football and basketball games.

Chief Illiniwek was replaced as the University symbol by Mr. Cornstalk who does a twisty, bendy halftime dance called The Cornhole.  Miley Cyrus has been spotted at games scouting Mr. Cornstalk's routine.

I Heart China!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The Wolf Tee!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The extremely personable and hard working (writer, yoga instructor, yoga studio administrator) Kate Robinson wearing her colorful and entirely appropriate Wolf head Tee.

The design is 3-D.  If you pop on the right glasses, the wolf will open his mouth, bare his teeth, and bite you on the ass if you're not doing your down dog correctly.

An Oldie But Goodie. Article, that is.

A nice article from 5 years ago on the 20th Anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  Interviews with Don Hahn, Tom Sito, James Baxter, Ken Ralston, and the incredible Dick Williams.

http://www.awn.com/animationworld/roger-rabbit-turns-20

The book or the movie? You decide.

Interesting comparison between the Roger Rabbit novel and the Roger Rabbit movie.

A big scoop of rainbow sherbert.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

The lovely and delightful Lisel Macenka modeling her Big Gay Ice Cream shirt.  Where the featured flavors are (no kidding!) Salty Pimp, Bea Arthur, Cococone, American Globs, and my personal favorite, Gobbler.

I dunno about you, but good ice cream always makes me gayer.

I have no idea what this says!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

German shirt worn by my friend John (AKA Juan Pablo) Pees.

I think it's a running shirt. For the sake of propriety, I'm hoping it doesn't say "Hey, girlie, check out my big strudel!"

Ger-man-ee, Ger-man-ee.

Wolfman's T-shirts of the Day.

My god daughter and her younger sister demonstrating their loyalties at the World Cup Championship.

They're half German, have been cared for over the years by a number of German au pairs, and have been to Germany.  They also both love bratwursts, sauerkraut, and a good polka band, so there was no question which national team they would be rooting for.

Wolfman, Air Commando

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

A Tee from the Air Force Commando Group including the 5th Air Commandos, the Wolfman's unit in the late, great unpleasantness known as The Vietnam War.

Believe me when I tell you, I'd rather be wearing this T-shirt than a flak jacket.

After experiencing the horrors of war up close and personal, I'm lucky I'm still alive and able to wear any T-shirt at all!

The Secret History of Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Nice write up about Who Framed Roger Rabbit by incredible Roger Rabbit historian Ross Anderson.

Be my friend!

My Facebook progression of "People You May Know."

First were people from my hometown, other authors and writers. I get that.

Then came animators, illustrators, and comic book artists. I get that.

Next came movie stars and directors. I sort of get that.

Then came cosplayers, first Jessica Rabbit then a whole range of science fiction characters. I definitely get that.

Next were pictures of scantily clad gorgeous girls from exotic countries. If I friended any of these I got badly Englsh-mangled message requests to send a credit card number for unlimited web camera access. Yeah, I'm a lonely old man. I get that.

But now all of my "People You May Know" suggestions are female professional wrestlers.

Huh? What kind of vibe am I giving off here?

Do a squat!

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

In honor of national Squat Day, here's a Crossfit Tee worn by my nephew Army Sergeant soon-to-be Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.

So waddya waiting for?  Go out there and squat!

If you don't know how, or need help, go here.  http://crossfitplattsburgh.com/

Running with the beautiful peeps.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Los Angeles Marathon, 2008.  My last sub-3.

Never saw so many gorgeous runners, men and women.  In looks and clothing.  Like everybody was auditioning for a role in a movie about the supermodel Olympics.

And then there was me.  Wearing my usual mismatched and ill-fitting attire.  Like I wanted a part on The Simpsons.

ARMY. Because even Marines need heroes.

Wolfman's T-shirt of the Day.

Warn by my favorite nephew Sergeant soon-to-be-Warrant Officer Kevin Toomey.

I also want to thank him sincerely for the case of Heady Topper.  That boy does know how to make my day.

If you want to buy this T-shirt, go here.  It's not exactly the same design, but close enough for Army work.
